about jose

Jose Hernandez has known from an early age that filmmaking is his calling. Taking any storytelling opportunity he could get, Jose began by creating and filming stories with his toys and as he grew older, moved to capturing family events such as birthdays and first communions. Quickly realizing this was the start of something, Jose enrolled in the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts to begin his film education and continued on to CSU Dominguez Hills.

Currently, Jose is completing his last semester and looks forward to using his knowledge to tell the stories of those who don’t have a voice and to spread awareness of social issues.

about meredith

Meredith, better known to her friends and family as Deedee, has always been passionate about the performing arts.  Whether it was writing melodramatic scripts with her older sister or reciting the dialogue from Grease word for word, Deedee knew even as a child that she needed to create.  It wasn’t until high school that she began exploring theatre and not until college that she was exposed to film.

Deedee is finishing her last year at CSU Fullerton and will graduate with a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration.  She is excited to use her newfound communications skills to bring structure to Venture Works and, more importantly, to promote outreach for social injustice through film.
